Xaltcraft Technologies has been selected for the second cohort of Invest Nova Scotia Accelerate 2026-2027, in the program’s new Development Stream.
We are proud to share that Xaltcraft Technologies has been selected for Invest Nova Scotia Accelerate Development Stream. Invest Nova Scotia announced the cohort on 10 September 2026.
What we are building
Invest Nova Scotia describes Xaltcraft as “predictive marine intelligence software for ocean environment assessment, sensor deployment, autonomous navigation and optimized routing.” That is TwoBlue, the software at the heart of X-MAS, the Xaltcraft Maritime Awareness System.
TwoBlue brings four modules together:
- Nereus: a digital ocean model of seabed, water and weather.
- Poseidon: mission planning and command, from the environment to sensor placement and routes.
- Trident & Zeus: autonomous navigation on uncrewed platforms at sea, in the air and on land.
- Labrador: sensing and fusion at the edge.
Together they give defence, offshore energy, survey and research teams one live picture of the underwater world, and the autonomy to act on it.
Why it matters
Accelerate support helps us move TwoBlue from development to the people who need it: navies and coast guards protecting their waters, operators watching subsea infrastructure, and survey and research teams working at sea. The funding and advisory support come at the right time, as we grow our team and core technology stack to take TwoBlue to customers in Canada and abroad.
“Nova Scotia has one of the strongest ocean technology communities in the world. Being selected for Accelerate is a vote of confidence in what our team is building here, and in the idea that the ocean can be understood, planned and acted on as one picture.”
Nikhil Vidwans, CEO, Xaltcraft Technologies
A strong Nova Scotia cohort
We are in good company. The start-ups in this cohort work across health, food, education, energy, biotechnology, AI and safety. Congratulations to everyone selected.
We are grateful to the Invest Nova Scotia team for the faith they have placed in our ability to deliver, and we intend to give back to the province and the country that have given us so much.
Xaltcraft is also a member of Canada’s Ocean Supercluster, the Atlantic Canada Aerospace and Defence Association (ACADA), the Ocean Technology Council of Nova Scotia (OTCNS) and COVE.
